Politicians are the only people in the world who create

problems and then campaign against them. Have you

ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans

are against deficits,

WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are

against inflation and high taxes,

WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget.

The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority

to vote on appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code,
Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy,
Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy,
the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President,

and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings

out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually

responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because

that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress

delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to

a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.

They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator,

a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing.

I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's

responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you

that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common

con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an

excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have

the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President

for creating deficits.

The President can only propose a budget.

He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land,

gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for

originating and approving appropriations and taxes.

Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner.
He is the leader of the majority party.

He and fellow House members, not the President,can

approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it,

they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot

replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts --

of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single

domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise

the power of the federal government, then it must follow that

what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's

because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..

If they do not receive social security but are on an

elite retirement plan not available to the people,

it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats,

whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists,

whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators,

to whom they give the power to regulate and

from whom they can take this power.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists

disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics"

that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people

who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to

manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

On Dec. 1, the story broke that Bethesda, Maryland-based
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where wounded veterans convalesce, apparently had banned visitors from bringing in Bibles or other religious items.

Walter Reed Chief of Staff C.W. Callahan issued a memo in September which said:
"No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading material, and/or artifacts) are allowed
to be given away or used during a visit."

Rep. Steve King, Iowa Republican, savaged the Obama Administration on the floor
of the House, saying, "The President of the United States should address this and
should excoriate the people who brought about this policy and the individual who
brought it about should be dismissed from the United States Military."

Yes, telling wounded soldiers and their families that their First Amendment
freedoms have been suspended should be a firing offense.

Rep. King, who serves on the House Subcommittee on the Constitution,
conveyed the gravity:

"The idea that these soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines that have fought
to defend our Constitution, and that includes our First Amendment rights
to religious liberty –would be denied that religious liberty when they are
lying in a hospital bed recovering from wounds incurred while defending that
liberty is the most bitter and offensive type of an irony that I can think of."

The policy was rescinded, but that it happened at all is a reminder of the culture
that Mr. Obama has fostered in the armed forces and executive agencies, where
extreme environmentalism, moral relativism, and sexual immorality have replaced traditional American values.

We shouldn’t really be surprised when a bureaucrat tries to bar Bibles in a
U.S. military stateside hospital while other bureaucrats make sure that
terrorists in Guantanamo Bay get copies of the Koran.

Announcing an end to the rule, Walter Reed public affairs officer Sandy Dean
said that a new policy "will be written to articulate our initial intention which
was to respect religious and cultural practices of our patients." Say what?

Dean went on to insist that the policy was "in no way meant to prohibit
family members from providing religious items to their loved ones at all."

Here’s more from the hapless Dean:
"We appreciate Congressman King bringing this to our attention.
We don’t want our instructions to be ambiguous."

Ambiguity is not the problem.
It’s the Obama Administration’s hostility to religion, except for Islam.

From the prevarications that helped sell Obamacare, to the lies surrounding
Fast and Furious, to the periodic emissions of horse pucky about Obama’s
“evolving” view of marriage while he’s sabotaging the Defense of Marriage Act,
it’s getting so bad that Obama Administration spokespeople really should
consider donning Groucho noses, glasses and mustaches.
That would help disguise them, at least, and pave their way to enter the
Witness Protection Program.

Should it be necessary to explain why wounded soldiers who risked their lives
be allowed to receive Bibles from their families?

Hillary Clinton’s speech in Geneva on Dec. 6 announcing that
American taxpayers will be paying for homosexual activism
around the world through a $3 million Global Equality Fund.

That’s right. In a time when the United States is facing massive debt,
plus a rising China and militant Islam, we’re going to use foreign aid
money to promote “gay rights” to the world.

Speaking to a crowd of diplomats, many of whom do not equate race
or ethnicity with volitional sexual behavior that has moral implications,
Clinton urged everyone to come around to her point of view, while saying,
"I come here before you with respect, understanding, and humility."
(Now do what I tell you.)

Once upon a time, foreign aid was allocated as an incentive for other nations
to support the interests and security of the United States. Countries did not
get the money if they worked with our enemies.

But now, under leftwing Democrats, foreign aid is a tool to force a radical
agenda on the rest of the world, regardless of America’s interests.

The Federal ID that Pays Illegal Aliens Billions a Year

Established 15 years ago, the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number [ITIN]
is a seemingly innocuous administrative requirement that the Internal Revenue
Service assigns to anyone who is employed and pays taxes. According to the
IRS website, the numbers are used for federal tax reporting only.
But since ITINs, as they are commonly known, are issued to wage earners
regardless of immigration status, they’ve frequently been abused by the aliens
who hold them.

Although the real estate crisis is fading from our memory, it’s important to recall
that the ITIN was the vehicle used in lieu of Social Security numbers, which then
legitimized the disastrous lending policy of providing home mortgages to
unqualified illegal aliens. With bankers as their willing abettors, and while the
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation purposely looked the other way, aliens
took out home loans using ITINs as their major form of identification. Bankers,
only too-eager to accommodate poverty-level applicants with balloon financing
for homes they could barely make the first payment on, raked in big money.
To the bankers, aliens represented the “new market.” Today, five years later,
the nation is still reeling from the avalanche of foreclosures that followed.
For aliens, the ITIN is an extremely useful vehicle. Since the IRS isn’t required
to share its information with any other federal agency, including immigration
authorities, the promise of intra-agency confidentiality allows aliens to file tax
returns without fear of deportation. At the same time, holding an ITIN enables
aliens to authenticate their presence in the United States and prove that they
have paid taxes.
This information could be crucial if Congress ever enacted an amnesty.
The ITIN’s improper use is once again in the news. The Federation for American Immigration Reform, in its recent analysis entitled “Treasury Department Says
Illegal Aliens Collection Billions in Tax Credits,” revealed that according to the
Department of Treasury’s Inspector General, more than $4.2 billion in additional
child credits were paid out in 2010 to illegal immigrants. In 2005, the pay outs
totaled $924 million. This program allows low income earners to claim a $1,000
per child credit. If the household ends up with no additional tax obligation—as
most alien families do not—then $1,000 is paid to them.
Pursuant to the IG report, 72 percent of tax returns filed by ITIN users claimed
this credit compared to just 14 percent of returns filed with social security numbers.
The generous payment of these benefits represents yet another incentive for aliens
to enter, reside and work in the United States without permission.
Providing incentives to aliens, financial or otherwise, is against the law.
The ITIN is a sham that should be eliminated. The federal government knows
that many ITIN users are illegally in the United States. Automatic acceptance
of the ITIN without additional identification is tantamount to endorsing illegal
immigration.
At a time when Congress and the president are struggling to find ways to
cut trillions of dollars from federal spending, and while more than 14 million
Americans are unemployed, it’s unconscionable for the IRS to ignore abuse
of its ITIN program that results in billions of dollars in payments made to
illegal aliens.

The trash generated by the “Occupy Wall Street” protests keeps

piling up. So do the bills. Liberal media outlets claim the anarchic,

anti-capitalist movement is more popular than the tea party.

But wait until Americans across the country get a full picture of

the costs of the aimless occupiers.

In New York City, government officials estimate the month-long

siege of Zuccotti Park has now imposed $3.2 million in overtime

police costs on the public. On Thursday, as Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s

office pressured left-wing activists to vacate the park for cleaning,

Occupy Wall Street urged sympathizers to flood the city’s customer

services lines: “Call 311 and tell Bloomberg not to evict us!”

In Philadelphia, Mayor Michael Nutter told the press that

demonstrators outside city hall have incurred $164,000 in

overtime public employee costs and $237,000 in regular time.

“At the current rate, if Occupy Philly continues to the end

of the month, the city would spend another nearly $690,000

on police overtime alone,” the local NBC affiliate reported.

“Besides the extra police presence being dedicated to the

Occupy Philly protests, other city departments have also

incurred costs.”

In Seattle, police have so far billed $30,000 in overtime,

and the parks department racked up nearly $4,000 in additional

costs related to the protests there. Occupiers have blocked

traffic, assaulted an officer and pitched illegal tents.

Merchants in the area have been hurt as the riff-raff deter customers.

One business owner in Westlake Park, where hundreds of protesters

remain camped out, told Seattle TV station KIRO:

“There’s definitely fewer people you can identify as people out,

just walking through the area.”

Seattle’s pushover mayor, Democrat Mike McGinn, now faces

even greater demands from the insatiable mob — which wants

a “guaranteed parking space near City Hall Plaza that allows

for around-the-clock parking,” “24-hour access to the first

floor of City Hall for restroom access, and a written statement

from the mayor approving the protesters’ long-term occupancy

of City Hall Plaza.”

In Boston, City Council President Stephen Murphy anticipates

a $2 million hit to taxpayers if the protests refuse to

disband by the end of October. The local Fox affiliate notes

the tab represents 8 percent of the yearly budget for police

overtime. “While we’re all sympathetic with our protesters

down there,” Murphy said, “Wall Street isn’t picking up the

tab on this thing. It’s the Boston taxpayers.”

When fiscally conservative tea party activists held protests

over the past two years, they filed for all the required permits

and paid for their own power. Occupy Boston, by contrast, neither

sought nor obtained any proper permits at any level, according to

the Boston Globe. Instead, city and park officials have been cowed

into providing them gratis electricity and camp space lest there

be “conflict.”

Many of these occupiers are primarily occupied as paid

rent-a-mobsters for unions, left-wing think tanks and the

radical Working Families Party. While one collective hand

soaks the taxpayers, the other hand is busy soliciting free

stuff. Occupy Los Angeles activists took to Skype on their

laptops to solicit donations of iPhones and iPads.

Occupy Wall Street members on Twitter organized an ongoing

“#needsoftheoccupiers” drive for everything from batteries

and tarps to “gently used” coats and sweaters, wool socks,

sleeping bags and energy bars. Occupy Austin organizers

publicized their wish list, including a free barbecue grill,

portable toilets, extension cords, a Bobcat forestry cutter

for clearing brush and network cameras for a livestream.

These are not principled advocates
of fiscal responsibility.
They are professional freeloaders.

Unlike tea party activists who focused like a laser beam on

politicians in both parties responsible for redistributing

wealth to Big Business cronies by force, the Occupy Wall

Street movement is everywhere and nowhere. The entitled

Kamp Alinsky Kids are poaching WiFi and trespassing on private

property under the guise of “social justice” but in plain

service of themselves.

Their T-shirts and speeches glorify Marxist radicals Che Guevara,

Emiliano Zapata and Chairman Mao. They lionize convicted death row

cop killer Troy Davis and WikiLeaks collaborator Bradley Manning.

They condemn “Nazi Bankers,” Jews, Fox News, the American Legislative

Exchange Council, Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker, the Koch family and

the New York Police Department (“Pigs!”). They promote the illegal alien

DREAM Act and 9/11 Trutherism.

They spout bumper-sticker profanities and inanities: “F**k banks.”

“Unf**k the world.” “Fuuuuu*k.” “Free education.” “Smash nationalism.”

“People not profits.”

They flash peace signs while celebrity supporter Roseanne Barr

calls for beheading financial industry workers and fellow marchers

call explicitly for “violent revolution” or for Obama to

“Send SEAL Team 6″ to Wall Street.

Then they huff and puff (preferably in a creepy uniform chant

they call the “human microphone”) that we just haven’t taken

the time to understand what they’re all about — as they hawk $20

“Eat the Rich” polo shirts and license their protest photos to

Getty Images.

West counters Obama: MLK would not have backed Wall Street protests

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) rejected President Obama’s comparison
between Martin Luther King Jr. and what he called the
“Occupy Wall Street gangs.”

“Martin Luther King Jr. would not have backed these types of
protesters,” West said, noting that he was born and raised in
King’s neighborhood. “First of all, Martin Luther King, Jr.
had a focus, a message. He was divinely inspired. I don’t know
what the inspiration is for these individuals.”

Obama last weekend suggested the civil-rights leader would
have sympathized with the ongoing demonstrations against
Wall Street, indicating both movements sought justice.

West slammed the protest movement as hypocritical and unfocused
in comparison to the Tea Party movement in an interview with
Newsmax published Tuesday evening.

“I think the hypocrisy of this movement is somewhat laughable,”
he said. “[Unemployment] has nothing to do with Wall Street.
It has everything to do with the failed policies coming out of
the Obama administration.”

West said he is wary of the movement because it seems to want
to end capitalism and replace it with something else.

"This progressive movement is really what communists were called
back in the 19th, beginning of the 20th century. We're starting
to really see the face of who liberal progressives are," West said.
“I think there is a danger in the people on Capitol Hill starting
to embrace this movement.”

West's sharp remarks about the movement, which has drawn Democratic
support, follows a week in which the Republican leadership
seemed to tamp down their early criticism of the protests.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) declined to
criticize the movement on Fox News Tuesday night.

“I think people are free to express themselves in this country

There Is a Real Chance to Stop Funding for “Sustainable Communities.

The House of Representatives have cut funding from

Obama’s Partnership for Sustainable Communities program.

The program has been targeted for elimination from the

House FY 2012 spending bill.

Defunding Sustainable Development has also come through a

Department of Transportation bill, a draft of which completely

eliminates funding for what are called TIGER grants, which provides

funding for the largest grants through the Partnership for Sustainable

Communities program.

This is great news for those of us opposed to Sustainable Development.

It means less money and fewer weapons coming out of Washington, DC

to enforce this assault on property rights and America’s way of life.

Now the spending bill is moving to the Senate – the danger zone.

Sustainablists are planning a major push to get the Senate to replace

the appropriations for the Sustainable Communities budget.

The American Planning Association (APA) is leading the charge,

calling for massive pressure to be put on Senators in what the APA

is calling “Planners Day,” set for September 20th.

The APA’s message to the Senators is that the cuts

“ignores both our nation’s jobs crisis and the drastic

need for infrastructure investment.”

In fact, the House action is not only fiscally responsible in

a day when the government is completely broke, but it is a lie

that the program will help either jobs or infrastructure.

The exact opposite is true.

Sustainable Development is a jobs killer and it destroys infrastructure –

refusing to build roads, tearing down dams and the like.

We can strike a huge blow against Sustainable Development.

Action to take:

On September 20th, call both of your U.S. Senators and

demand that they maintain the House restrictions on the

Sustainability Planning grants and the caps on planning

expenses now called for in the Fiscal Year spending bill.

Tell them America cannot afford these grants.

The cuts will save billions of dollars and keep special interests

out of your community’s planning decisions.

Tell them you oppose Sustainable Development.

Illegal immigration is not immigration.
It's trespassing, on a mass scale.
Illegal immigrants are to be called criminals.
That's what they are. They may be workers;
they may be undocumented; they may be
Mexican nationals; but, primarily, they are criminals.
It doesn't matter whether they've committed an
act of violence (though many have), or whether they
are pushing drugs and weapons (though many are);
they commited a crime in crossing the border illegally.
A host of illegal acts follow: identity fraud and/or theft;
tax evasion; abuse of social services--none of which they
deserve or have any right to; etc. They are simply criminals.
Adverse effects result from their presence--no matter
what benefits are imagined in the self-justifying minds of
their collusionists--Americans who hire them.
It's not the saints that are marching in. It's criminal Mexicans.

Migration? Is it a natural, epochal migration? No.
Migrations are a thing of a different era in human history.
The Mexican (et al.) influx is a national invasion.
This is the modern world. There are borders.
There are language differences. There are economic realities.
It isn't just a natural demographic exploration.
These people are here to get something from America.
They don't respect America.
They don't want to become American.
They are low-life crooks. Nothing more.
Well, what about earlier American history?
What about the "migration" from Europe?
The western Europeans migrated, did they not?
It was across the sea, rather than land, but,
it was a mass demographic shift--
and it was a mass trespass as well.
It was Indian land they came upon.
But the Europeans didn't really want anything else,
nothing personal from the Indians. They didn't
perceive any 'economic benefits' from dealing with
Indians, or working for Indians. It was a different situation.
The Europeans just wanted land, a new place, a place
where they could set up shop their own way.
They were through with "royalty" and "popery."
This new shop was to be about freedom,
and that included justice. And so on.
At least in their minds, among themselves.
They didn't plan on assimilating into the Indian nations
which they inevitably invaded. The western Europeans
were like the Mexicans of today, in that sense.
But the profound difference was this:
The Europeans weren't beggars, claiming rights from the
Indians, claiming the Indians owed them a job, health care,
social security, or even property.
The western Europeans build their own world--yes,
within someone else's, but, they built it themselves.
They didn't mooch off someone else's accomplishments.
They were losers. They were winners. They were strong.
Mexicans are weak. They are deluded, and are amoral if
not immoral about all this. They see absolutely nothing
wrong with what they are doing, and if questioned,
they justify it as their right! They are the sheep of circumstance.
Their own government abuses them, then tries to use them;
the American politicians try to use them, as well as American
businessmen and even private households.
The powers that be would have it this way.

Any way possible, without pride,
without dignity, or even self-respect.
The Mexicans don't want citizenship.
It would not be to their advantage.
They don't want to become American.
They're actually proud Mexicans.
They're not proud of their government, of course.
But, there is a Mexican spirit, a glorious Mexican spirit,
and they have that. They love that. Even the world
recognizes it. So the political manoeuver to make them
citizens is not something that will work at all.
These people just want to work, make money, and go
back and forth to Mexico.
In this sense, most of them really are innocent.
They are simple in their desires. They are of course hit on
all sides, because they have made themselves vulnerable.
The evils and perils that surround them are the price they pay.
It is a culturally immature thing they do; it is naive.
Again, they are the sheep of circumstance.
They are shorn by any and all who see the opportunity.
And even this is better than what they have in Mexico.
Or so we are led to believe. Maybe that's a delusion.
Maybe the risk of rotting in the desert has nothing to do with
what they have or don't have in Mexico. Maybe they're just
abandoned, morally and spiritually. Family is a crumbling,
vanishing concept for the trespassers. The whole craze of
egotistical adventure is more important than family.
The Mexicans don't care. They have no shame. They are morally abandoned.
And the thing to remember is that America does have
enemies, on all sides. There are social movements, within
and without, that constantly plot evil against America and
American people. They are here, now. We cannot ignore them.
We can't write it all off as inevitable. We have to fight it.
Simple as this may seem, I fear the majority of Americans cannot
recognize this, and are in some materialistic-induced stupor,
which disallows any alarm--or at least, any alarm sufficient to
provoke action.
That our government should consider "giving" the criminal
Mexicans citizenship--which they don't even want, shows
how little our government values citizenship.
It has become nothing more than a political tool to them.
The Mexicans just want to rape America, to use the opportunities.
Citizenship is not an opportunity for them. It would inhibit them,
from their point of view. That American citizenship should become
a pawn in the hand of politicians is the lowest condition into which
our government has ever sunk.

The Gibson Guitar CEO responded to the unjust raids today:

Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar Corp.,
has responded to the August 24 raid of Gibson facilities in Nashville
and Memphis by the Federal Government.
In a press release, Juszkiewicz said:
“Gibson is innocent and will fight to protect its rights.
Gibson has complied with foreign laws and believes it
is innocent of ANY wrong doing.
We will fight aggressively to prove our innocence.”

The raids forced Gibson to cease manufacturing operations and
send workers home for the day while armed agents executed the

“Agents seized wood that was Forest Stewardship Council controlled,”

Military pay guarantee stalled in debt crisis

Lawmakers who want the federal government to guarantee the
military gets paid during a debt crisis are accusing the Obama
administration and others in Congress of using the issue as
leverage in advance of any deal making on the debt.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and fellow Texas Republican Rep.
Louie Gohmert said Thursday at a news conference that leaders
of both chambers were holding up the legislation, which first
surfaced in late March as the threat of a government shutdown
loomed. Gohmert said he would file a discharge petition to force
House consideration of his measure, which has 197 co-sponsors
of both parties.

Hutchison’s bill – filed this week to replace an earlier measure —
would require that military pay and federal debt obligations be paid
first out of Treasury revenues in the event Congress does not act or
refuses to raise the debt limit, taking those concerns off the table in
now-stalled talks between the White House and congressional leaders.

It has 80 co-sponsors – more than enough to guarantee floor
consideration if all of them vote to move the bill to the floor.

Gohmert’s bill, filed March 31, is aimed strictly at guaranteeing pay
in the event of a shutdown, but he said he would offer an amendment
to incorporate Hutchison’s language on the debt limit.

“If we can ever get these bills to the floor I think there will be no

question that they will become law,” Hutchison said.

“It’s clear that they don’t want this,” she added, referring to
congressional leaders and the Obama administration.

The two lawmakers’ efforts in the spring to move the legislation
met similar roadblocks, as both GOP and Democratic leaders
focused on getting a comprehensive deal on fiscal 2011 spending —
which they eventually achieved.

But Gohmert said service members should not be pawns in the
battle over reducing the $14.3 trillion federal debt.

“We need to make sure the military — people in harm’s way that

are dodging bullets – never have to have it cross their minds that

they won’t get a paycheck,” he said. “We’re taking that off the table.”

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has said the debt limit must
be raised by Aug. 2 or the Treasury would have trouble paying all
its bills.

An analysis by the Bipartisan Policy Center think-tank projects that
if the debt-limit is not raised by that date, the Treasury would have
$172.4 billion to pay its bills through Aug. 31 — $134.3 billion less
than expected obligations.
Military pay represents $2.9 billion of those obligations, and interest
on Treasury securities another $29 billion.

Nevada man sues DMV over rejection of ‘GOPALIN’ license plate

A Nevada man has filed a lawsuit against the state’s

Department of Motor Vehicles alleging his rights were

violated when he says the state denied his requests for

personalized license plates with conservative political themes.

James Linlor, a Douglas County resident, filed the complaint

July 15 in U.S. District Court in Nevada.

The complaint alleges Linlor requested a personalized license

plate of “GOPALIN” in 2009 and 2010, but the DMV denied his

applications, stating the request was "vulgar or obscene or

expressing superiority of political affiliation."

Linlor says he tried again in June 2010 —

this time requesting “PALIN,” “PALIN12” or “PALIN16.”

The DMV’s Special Plates Committee, which reviews applications,

again denied his requests, deeming them inappropriate because

they were “political,” according to the complaint.

According to the Nevada Administrative Code, the DMV rejects

personalized license plates with any combination of letters, numbers

or spaces that “express contempt, ridicule or superiority of ...

political affiliation.” It can also deny plates it deems “inappropriate.”

After a hearing before an administrative law judge, the lawsuit claims

the judge reversed the DMV’s denial of Linlor’s requests for plates with

“PALIN,” “PALIN12” and “PALIN16.”

The judge determined the DMV wasn't authorized to deny requests

simply because they were “political,” according to the complaint.

Despite the judge’s decision, the complaint alleges the DMV again

denied Linlor’s request for a “GOPALIN” plate. Meanwhile, Linlor

discovered the DMV had issued other politics-related license plates,

including “GOGREEN,” “DMOCRAT,” “AL GORE,” “KERRY,” “EDWARDS,”

“DEAN,” “HILLARY” and “RONPAUL,” while rejecting requests for

“REPBLCN” and “BUSH,” the complaint alleges.

When Linlor applied for a “GO OBAMA” plate, the DMV approved it,

he alleges.

“The actions of the DMV in selectively granting some ‘political’ license

plate requests while denying others are unconstitutional on grounds of

content and viewpoint discrimination, and should be enjoined as a violation

of the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution,”

according to the complaint.

Bruce Breslow, director of the Nevada DMV, said Monday he’s not sure why

Linlor brought a lawsuit this month because the “GOPALIN” plate was issued

Dec. 30, 2010.

The DMV, however, is reviewing its policy about personalized license plates

and likely will have the director or a deputy director make decisions about

whether to approve such requests in the future, he said.

“I would not have denied it,” Breslow said, referring to the “GOPALIN” plate.

The complaint seeks injunctive relief from the DMV as well as the cost of

attorneys’ fees.

Americans are so focused on Congress and Obama at the federal
level of government right now that most are overlooking the socialism
creeping in at the local level through Agenda 21.
It is easy to overlook local government since people are saturated
with too much information in the internet age. Compounding this is
the fact that Agenda 21 is a dull topic, and it becomes understandable
how it has been able to fly mostly under the radar since 1992, slowly
working its way into our cities and counties.

Agenda 21, which reportedly means an agenda for the 21st century,
is a United Nations program launched in 1992 for the vague purpose
of achieving global "sustainable development."
Congress never approved Agenda 21, although Presidents Obama,
Clinton and George H.W. Bush have all signed Executive Orders
implementing it. 178 other world leaders agreed to it in 1992 at the
Rio Summit. Since then, the U.N. has mostly bypassed national
governments, using Agenda 21’s International Council of Local
Environmental Initiatives (“ICLEI”) to make agreements directly with
local governments. ICLEI's U.S. presence has grown to include
agreements with over 600 cities, towns and counties here, which
are now copying the land use plans prescribed in Agenda 21.
Some conservatives are trying to attract attention to Agenda 21 by
labeling it a secret conspiracy to create a one world government.
While that will wake some people up, it will turn off others.
It does not matter whether it is a conspiracy or not.
There are people on the left side of the political spectrum - who
may even believe they have good intentions - working together to
spread their vision for society worldwide. Whether they meet in
dark rooms or openly in public meetings is irrelevant; they are having
great success convincing local governments in the U.S. to adopt their
socialist and extreme environmentalist programs under the guise of
feel-good buzz words. Left wing billionaire George Soros's Open Society
has provided $2,147,415 to ICLEI. Van Jones' Green for All and the
Tides Foundations’ Apollo Alliance are also reportedly ICLEI contributors.

Agenda 21 ostensibly seeks to promote "sustainability" (the latest
revisionist word for "environmentalism," since Americans have learned too
many negative things about environmentalism). "Sustainability" is an
amorphous concept that can be interpreted to an extreme degree that
would regulate and restrict many parts of our lives.
When will the level of carbon emissions be low enough?
How much must we reduce our consumption of fossil fuels?
Preserving the environment is a dubious science, and what steps are
really necessary to protect the environment are anyone's guess.
Agenda 21 promotes European socialist goals that will erode our freedoms
and liberties. Most of its vague, lofty sounding phrases cause the average
person’s eyes to glaze over, making it easier to sneak into our communities.
The environmentalist goals include atmospheric protection, combating pollution,
protecting fragile environments, and conserving biological diversity.
Agenda 21 goes well beyond environmentalism. Other broad goals include
combating poverty, changing consumption patterns, promoting health, and
reducing private property ownership, single-family homes, private car ownership,
and privately owned farms. It seeks to cram people into small livable areas and
institute population control.
There is a plan for “social justice” that will redistribute wealth.

Once these vague, overly broad goals are adopted, they are being interpreted
to allow massive amounts of new, overreaching regulations.
Joyce Morrison from Eco-logic Powerhouse says Agenda 21 is so broad it will
affect the way we "live, eat, learn and communicate."
Berit Kjos, author of Brave New Schools, warns that Agenda 21 "regulation would
severely limit water, electricity, and transportation - even deny human access to
our most treasured wilderness areas, it would monitor all lands and people.
No one would be free from the watchful eye of the new global tracking and
information system." Even one of the authors of Agenda 21 has admitted that it "…
calls for specific changes in the activities of all people…"
These steps are already being enacted little by little at the local levels.

Since the U.S. is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, and uses more energy
than any other country, it stands to lose the most from environmental regulations.
The goal of "sustainability," which comes down to using government to heavy-
handedly accomplish vague goals of caring for the earth, goes contrary to our
free market capitalism. Even more unfair, struggling third world countries and
communist countries that cannot financially afford to comply with the onerous
environmental regulations will continue their high levels of fossil fuel consumption,
and the U.S. will be forced by U.N. regulators to conserve even more to make up
for those countries.

Obama signed Executive Order 13575 earlier this month, establishing a
"White House Rural Council" prescribed by Agenda 21. The amount of
government Obama has directed to administer this is staggering.
Obama committed thousands of federal employees in 25 federal agencies
to promote sustainability in rural areas, completely bypassing Congressional
approval. Some of these agencies are unrelated to rural areas. The agencies
will entice local communities into adopting Agenda 21 programs by providing
them millions of dollars in grants.
Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh writing for Canada Free Press analyzed the order
and wrote, "it establishes unchecked federal control into rural America in
education, food supply, land use, water use, recreation, property, energy,
and the lives of 16% of the U.S. population."

Tea party groups, talk show host Glenn Beck, and organizations like
Freedom Advocates, Catholic Investigative Agency and Sovereignty International
are working hard to expose Agenda 21, but there is only so much a few can do.
Some local governments have become aware of what Agenda 21 is really about
and dropped out of ICLEI this year. The Carroll County Board of Commissioners,
Montgomery County in Pennsylvania and the city of Edmond, Oklahoma have
all withdrawn their participation.

It will be difficult to defeat Agenda 21 because it requires changing the attitudes
of over 600 separate localities across the U.S. Ideally, a conservative president
could roll back the executive orders implementing it, but considering Republican
President H.W. Bush was a disappointment in this area that may be too much
to hope for. If Republicans take over Congress they could challenge the huge
power grab Obama made with Executive Order 13575 and ban Agenda 21
in the U.S. For now, local activists must champion this issue, much like
Texans for Accountable Government has done, educating local boards and
commissions and serving on them. Agenda 21 is a tedious and overwhelming
topic, and until it can be explained in an easy-to-understand way that interests
the average American, it will be tough to beat back.
